Soundscape for artwork ‘Anamazon (Into the Land)’

Sound design for the museum piece ‘Anamazon (Into the Land)’ by Pamela Rosenkranz. The work is part of the exhibition ‘Being There’ of the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Denmark from October 10, 2017 to February 25, 2018.

Anamazon (Into the Land) combines a grid of intense green and blue LED light that envelops and overwhelms the viewer along with sounds from the Amazon rainforest, played backwards on Amazon Echo speakers, as well as a large heap of earth, terra preta, originally a particularly fertile soil product from the Amazon basin. The work has been created for the exhibition.
